[ OVERVIEW ]
The invisible flow channels, made precisely clear.
Microphysiological systems (MPS) replicate the function of tissues and organs on a chip. Physios Biotech's Boncyte Chip –Spheroid– features four independent units on a single chip, enabling angiogenesis assays and cancer model construction using spheroids (3D cell aggregates). We produced a 3D CGI animation that makes the internal microfluidic channels — invisible to the naked eye — and the spheroid trap mechanism immediately understandable. The animation visualizes the chip's internal flow channel structure — invisible to the naked eye — and the 'Spheroid Trap' mechanism that precisely guides each spheroid to the center of the gel channel.

About This Project
Hydrocore handled the entire production pipeline in-house — from specialist technical briefing and storyboarding through 3D CGI modeling, animation, and final export. Our goal was to translate the microscale structure and function of the MPS chip into a visual language that anyone can grasp at first sight, without specialist knowledge.
