[ OVERVIEW ]
A degenerated retina, reconnected.
An iPSC-derived retinal sheet is transplanted into a degenerated retina. The graft integrates and matures into a three-layered structure, forms new synapses with the patient's own neurons, and — finally — light signals travel to the brain again. This 40-second 3D CGI animation visualizes the photoreceptor transplantation process developed by Vision Care Inc. The animation was designed to communicate the mechanism without narration, making it effective across language barriers for investor presentations, academic conferences, and media use.

About This Project
Starting from the storyboard concept shared by Prof. Mandai's team, Hydrocore handled the entire production pipeline in-house — from narrative structure and video storyboarding, through cell character design and 3D CGI modeling, to final edit and export. Our goal: make the invisible world of regenerative medicine immediately understandable to any audience, in any language.
