[ OVERVIEW ]
A 2 cm strand of cells, restoring vision.
When cells are seeded into a grooved culture dish, they spontaneously coalesce into a thread — approximately 2 cm long, 100 µm in diameter, comprising roughly 150,000 RPE cells. That thread is loaded into a fine cannula and delivered into the subretinal space, where it unfurls to cover the lesion. This 38-second 3D CGI animation visualizes the full process of Vision Care Inc.'s thread-form RPE cell transplantation therapy — from self-assembly in the dish to final integration with the patient's retina.

About This Project
Starting from the video concept shared by Dr. Maeda, Hydrocore handled the full pipeline in-house — narrative structure, Video animatic, cell character design, 3D CGI, and editing — with the goal of making the invisible world of regenerative medicine clearly understandable.
